Jonathan Cleworth of Wealth Matters Financial Advisors, writers of PCG’s Guide to Pensions.
The evening will start with Wealth Matters providing a short 30min guidance on making the most of your financial plans, followed by Paul Mason of Abbey Tax who will present for one hour+ with an update on the following issues;
A brief introduction to the current Tax Investigations Regime
Tax Status – Whether you’re a limited company of sole trader the tests that affect all freelancers
The importance of keeping business records (how to protect yourself before an enquiry starts)
The Treatment of Travel & Subsistence expenses (Why the two-year rule will bite you earlier than you realise)
What to look for in a self employment contract/contract for services (the dos and don'ts)
